The JHS Fumble exists because of the biggest mistake in our company's history—and it might just be the best thing to ever happen to your clean tone. Originally meant to be the clean channel of the NOTADÜMBLË V1 kit, we accidentally dropped in a completely different circuit: a clone of the ultra-rare Dumble BBC-1.

Players loved it so much that we had to give it its own enclosure. The Fumble is a faithful, compact production of that exact JFET preamp circuit, giving you the legendary Dumble FET sound in an affordable, no-nonsense pedal.

What It Does

The Fumble is a beautifully simple JFET clean boost designed to enhance your tone without unnecessarily coloring it. It features true bypass switching and just two controls:

• Output: Your master volume. Crank it up for more volume and presence.
• Input: Not your standard gain knob. This unique control acts as a simultaneous bass and input gain attenuator. Turn it fully to the right for an un-cut, full-bodied boost, or roll it left for a thinner, tighter, and more articulate response.

4 Ways to Play the Fumble:

• The Always-On Sweetener: Place it at the front of your board as a permanent buffer and clean boost to tighten up your entire signal chain.
• The Gain Stacker: Slam the front of your favorite overdrives (like a Timmy, Klon, or Morning Glory) to find the perfect second-stage drive you've been hunting for.
• The Amp Pusher: Run it into a dirty Tweed or Plexi to make your broken-up amp sound bigger and more articulate.
• The Solo Boost: Put it at the end of your chain, crank the output, and hit it when it's time to cut through the mix.
