Good — a complete picture. A. friedrichsthalii is native to Guatemala through Colombia at sea level to approximately 800m, a compact pendant strap-leaf species with notably darker, glossier, and more narrow leaves than vittarifolium or pallidiflorum, with a very pronounced midrib and long petioles that give the gracefully arching stems their distinctive character. One of the faster-growing and more adaptable pendant anthuriums — notably more tolerant of average household conditions than many in its group.

Anthurium Friedrichsthalii

A pendant strap-leaf anthurium native to the humid lowland and premontane forests of Central America and northern South America — ranging from Guatemala through Panama and into Colombia at elevations from sea level to approximately 800 meters — and one of the most accessible and rewarding members of its informal group for collectors who want the elegant pendant strap-leaf character without the strict high-humidity demands of some of its more temperamental relatives. Within the pendant anthurium group, A. friedrichsthalii occupies a distinctive position defined by its leaf quality: notably darker, more deeply saturated, and more glossy than vittarifolium or gladiifolium, with a thick, almost leathery, firm leaf texture and a very pronounced, prominently raised midrib that runs the full length of the narrow blade and creates a clean visual line down each leaf. The leaves themselves are more narrow and strap-like than pallidiflorum, with long petioles that give the plant its characteristic gracefully arching and cascading stem habit — the combination of long petioles, narrow leaves, and pendant growth creating an elegant, flowing display that performs beautifully from a hanging basket or elevated shelf. More compact than vittarifolium — leaves typically reaching 18 inches to occasionally longer under ideal conditions rather than the multiple-foot lengths of the largest pendant species — and notably vigorous for its group, earning a reputation as one of the faster-growing pendant anthuriums available and considerably more tolerant of average household humidity than many of its relatives.

An elevated or hanging position is strongly preferred to allow the pendant leaves and gracefully arching stems to cascade freely to their full length. Provide medium to bright indirect light — the species is relatively adaptable across a reasonable light range and tolerates somewhat lower light better than many collector anthuriums. Keep the medium consistently but lightly moist in an open, chunky epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir; allow the top inch to approach dryness between waterings. Humidity of 60-70% is ideal though the species is reported to tolerate average household humidity better than most pendant anthuriums. Maintain warm temperatures between 65-80°F. Toxic to humans and pets if ingested.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.
