1930s evening dress Vintage 1930s Evening Gown Black Tulle with Gold Braid Long Dress Size MThis is a beautiful example of late 1930s early 1940s era sophistication a full length black tulle evening gown with gold rickrack braiding on its cap sleeves and peplum. The dress has a V shaped neckline and the skirt is cut full so that it falls in drapes. The dress is constructed with a rayon tulle over a taffeta base. It does up the side with a metal zipper. This is a beautiful example of late 1930s/early 1940s era sophistication - a full length black tulle evening gown with gold rickrack braiding on its cap sleeves and peplum.  The dress has a V shaped neckline and the skirt is cut full so that it falls in drapes.  The dress is constructed with a rayon tulle over a taffeta base. It does up the side with a metal zipper.    

Sizing:  No size is indicated, and although it should fit a medium size, please note the following measurements for fit, keeping the style and cut of the garment in mind, which appears to me to be a little short waisted.  Also, you may have to adjust the length of the slip straps. Please measure your body or a similar garment that you own:

Shoulders:  15” / Bust: 36”, should be worn with a little room / Waist: 30” around, taken above the peplum / Hips:  38” around, meant to fall loosely / Overall length: 52" measured flat / Length from top of shoulder to waist: 14”

Condition:  The dress is in very good condition with no pronounced wear or tear or odors - I did see three tiny holes/tears near the hemline, really very minor and only noticeable if really looking for them with a strong light behind the fabric. 

This is a beautiful dress - wonderful gown for a formal affair....
